Privacy Policy
Temes Consulting Inc. ("Temes Consulting," "we," "us") provides consulting, marketing, and technology services to automobile dealerships. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: stevet@temesconsulting.com or (908) 216-0975.
This policy covers temesconsulting.com and the business email and phone outreach we send. Our other brands publish their own policies: Social Cruise Control and Showroom Closer.
1. Who this covers
- Site visitors — anyone who visits temesconsulting.com.
- Business prospects — dealership staff we contact about our products and services.
- Clients — dealerships that engage us.
We market business-to-business. We do not knowingly collect information about consumers in a personal capacity, and we do not target individuals at home.
2. Information we collect
- What you send us. Our contact form collects your first and last name, dealership, email address, phone number, the package you are interested in, and any message you write.
- Business contact information from other sources. We build and maintain a prospect database of dealership professionals. That information comes from third-party list providers and publicly available sources such as dealership websites and staff directories. It is business-role information — name, job title, dealership, work email, work phone, and business location. We do not purchase or compile Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.
- Website usage. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TL5JQJ6FRX), which collects IP address, pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate city-level location.
- Email engagement. Our marketing emails contain a tracking pixel and redirected links hosted at track.temesconsulting.com, which record whether a message was opened and which links were clicked, along with the time.
- Phone contact. If we call you, we may record the outcome, a summary, and — where we use an AI-assisted calling service — a transcript or recording of the call. Where a call is recorded, we will tell you at the beginning of the call and you may ask us not to record or end the call.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and demo requests you submit.
- To deliver and support the services a client has engaged us for.
- To send business-to-business marketing about our dealer products and services.
- To measure whether our campaigns and our website are working, and to improve them.
- To keep our suppression and do-not-contact lists accurate.
- To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent, trade, or resell our prospect database.
4. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart and to measure how the site is used. That is the only cookie-based tracking on this site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The site works normally with analytics blocked.
5. Marketing email, and how to stop it
Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You can also reply to any message, or email stevet@temesconsulting.com, and ask us to stop.
Please note that suppression is keyed to the email address you opt out from. If we hold a second, different address for you, tell us and we will suppress that one too.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own terms, and only as needed to run our business:
- Google — Analytics, and Workspace/Gmail for sending and receiving mail.
- Amazon Web Services — email delivery.
- Instantly — delivery and suppression management for prospect email campaigns.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, DNS, and the email-tracking endpoint.
- Twilio — telephone service.
- AI-assisted calling providers — where we place outbound calls using them.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties for their own marketing.
7. How long we keep it
We keep prospect and client contact records for as long as we have a business relationship or an active business reason to keep them, and we keep suppression records indefinitely — because that is the only way to guarantee we do not email someone again after they have asked us not to. Website analytics are retained under Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Financial and tax records are kept for the period the law requires.
8. Your choices and your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information; or
- stop contacting you.
Email stevet@temesconsulting.com. We will respond within 30 days. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, whether or not a privacy law entitles you to make them — including residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Florida. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
9. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, and encryption of stored data where appropriate to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps and we review them.
10. Children
Our website and services are for dealership professionals. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page.
